AsiaJCIS 2025: Editor's Preface

Message from the General Co-Chairs

It is our great honor to invite you to the 20th annual Asia Joint Conference on Information Security 2025 (abbreviated as AsiaJCIS 2025) that will be held at Korea Institute of Science and Technology Center, Seoul, Korea (Republic of) on August 12-13, 2025. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this conference since 2006.

With the rise of technologies like AI security, zero trust, secure software development, and post-quantum cryptography, advancing these fields have become crucial for building trust in cyberspace. AI security research focuses on two areas: protecting AI systems and developing security solutions that leverage AI. In our AI-driven world, strengthening AI systems to withstand diverse threats is now a key challenge.

The primary goal of AsiaJCIS is to provide an open forum for publishing novel, practical, high-quality papers that demonstrate the latest research and development results and their applications in the fields of information security and cybersecurity. Research focuses on cryptography, privacy, network security, application security, information security management, system security, and new security technologies such as for cloud computing systems, edge computing, zero trust, AI/ML, post quantum cryptography, smart grids, and a wide range of other topics. Additionally, AsiaJCIS aims to foster collaboration among security communities in Asia to advance these technologies.

This year, we have received submissions from six countries in the Asian region. The program committee selected nine regular papers and nine short papers for the oral presentations. In addition, we have a keynote speaker and five invited speakers from academia and public sector to introduce their recent ongoing cutting-edge work including ensuring AI trustworthiness. The accepted papers cover a wide range of research fields from cryptography to system security and from fundamental to applied security including hot topics.

The success of AsiaJCIS 2025 solely depends on your strong interest in and active participation in this conference. The future of the coming AsiaJCIS also depends highly on the everlasting support of you and your colleagues.

AsiaJCIS 2025 is hosted by Korea Institute of Information Security and Cryptology, sponsored by Ministry of Science and ICT, KISA, TTA, KISTI and KSEL. And it is also supported by Digital Identity Management Society in KIISC of Korea (Republic of), Information System and ICS Societies in IEICE of Japan, and Chinese Cryptology and Information Security Association (CCISA) of Taiwan.

We would like to thank the members of the technical program committee and organizing committee, keynote speakers, invited speakers, reviewers, and authors who contributed to the success of this conference.

Finally, we hope that you will find a lot of valuable information for your next research and development on information security and its applications through participation in this conference.

Thank you very much and good luck to all of you!
