International Tourism and Its Importance in the Economy of Ecuador

Abstract

This paper includes an analysis of tourism and its determinants to explain its impact on the Ecuadorian economy, highlighting the potential impact that this industry could have on development and growth. With this objective, it begins with a review of previous studies in order to understand the level of competitiveness and capacity in the sector for its reactivation.

Finally, the results obtained are presented, which allow answering the problems raised and drawing conclusions regarding the data obtained mainly by the Ecuadorian government.
