Post-Experts in Polish Mainstream Media: Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis of Selected Information Programs

Abstract

Experts have always played a special role in society. Appealing to their opinions is one of the most important strategies that people use to make decisions. Many factors determine who becomes an expert. The most important included: having a lot of knowledge, charisma, authority, or experience. Increasingly, however, they are not sufficient and may even be unnecessary. This is due to the development of the media and its influence on our lives. Therefore, on the basis of the analysis of content of three opinion-forming news services, I am going to check who the media owners cast as experts and what narration they create about the presented reality.
