Ranging from surgeries to intensive care unit, intubation must be performed in order to provide mechanical ventilation to patients. Hence, a laryngoscope is normally used to grant the visibility of the superior airways and to guide the endotracheal tube. However, conventional laringoscopy usually has a low rate of success when compared to its video-based counterpart. Notwithstanding, commercial video laryngoscopes are extremely expensive, limiting its receptiveness. In this work we present the proof of concept of a 3D-printed low-cost video laryngoscope, putting forth a feasible approach and a detailed description of its manufacture.
