The National Federation of Coffee Growers maintains that around 580,000 Colombian
families today live directly from the cultivation and commercialization of coffee. But, despite this
the optimistic vision of the coffee agricultural model, it is necessary to investigate how this has been possible in the middle of a country that recognizes itself as agricultural and violent at the same
time, in which, it can be affirmed that one of the expressions of the greatest Colombian violence
has occurred around the production of coffee and the ownership of the lands where it is grown
