Submission Guidelines
The M.I.L.E. workshop is a full-day event combining invited talks, peer-reviewed contributions, interactive poster sessions, and a moderated panel discussion. The goal is to foster scientific exchange and community building around misaligned and partially aligned human–robot interaction.
We invite short papers (2–4 pages, IEEE format) presenting original research, position papers, or ongoing work related to human–robot interaction, multi-agent systems, and learning under misalignment.
Topics
- Modeling misalignment in human–robot interaction
- Adaptive policies under uncertain or conflicting goals
- Shared autonomy and autonomy modulation
- Strategic, adversarial, or non-cooperative behavior in interaction
- Learning, negotiation, and coordination in multi-agent systems
- Empirical studies on engagement, disengagement, and partial cooperation
Review Process
All submissions will undergo a single-blind peer review process, conducted by a program committee of experts in robotics, human–robot interaction, and learning-based systems.
Accepted papers will be presented as posters, each preceded by a short spotlight talk (2–3 minutes). A subset of submissions may be selected for oral presentation based on relevance and balance of workshop themes.
Publication
Accepted contributions will be published on the workshop website. We are also exploring the possibility of a post-workshop special issue for extended versions of selected papers.
