Call for papers
I-RIM is pleased to announce the seventh edition of the Italian Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Machines. The conference will highlight ongoing and upcoming scientific endeavours in the community, engaging stakeholders by showcasing the latest research findings and emphasizing current trends and technologies in robotics and intelligent machines.
Contribution Tracks
This year, the conference introduces an important new opportunity: for the first time, authors can submit full scientific papers to be published in the Springer Proceedings in Advanced Robotics (SPAR), providing an indexed publication venue for high-quality contributions. Alongside this new track, the traditional Extended Abstract channel remains available for work in progress and emerging ideas.
There are therefore two submission tracks:
SPAR Papers (New for 2026)
- Original and innovative scientific contributions
- Oral presentation at the conference
- Published in Springer Proceedings in Advanced Robotics (SPAR)
Submission deadline: May 31, 2026
Extended Abstracts
Prospective authors are invited to submit a 2-page extended abstract in English, along with an optional video, covering areas of robotics and intelligent machines. We welcome innovative contributions, position papers, and preliminary results, provided their originality is well contextualized.
- Poster presentation or short talk at the conference
- Collected in the I-RIM digital conference proceedings, together with any associated optional video
- Made publicly available (Open Access Gold), digitally indexed (DOI) and citable
Submission deadline: September 16, 2026
️ Thematic Workshops
Prospective organizers are invited to submit a 2-page proposal specifying:
- Title, organizers with affiliations, and format (by invitation or open for submissions)
- Description of objectives and main topics
- List of speakers with affiliations (confirmed or to be confirmed)
- Number of expected attendees
- Target audience (sector experts, general public)
- Workshop outcomes, possible products, or impacts (e.g., publications, videos, follow-up events)
Priority will be given to proposals that include a clear plan to organize a special issue in a venue relevant to the I-RIM community in the months following the conference.
Submission deadline: July 14, 2026
Further details on topics, formats, and submission guidelines are available at: https://i-rim.it
We warmly encourage you to share this call within your research groups and to actively contribute to the conference.
