Call for Paper Smart Waterline - Optimized maintenance and operation with AI and data analysis

We cordially invite you to present your research results, project reports, case studies, innovative approaches in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in water pipeline inspection and risk assessment at our workshop. We offer a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and discussion of the latest developments and applications in this important field.

Topic areas: We are seeking contributions on, but are not limited to, the following topics:

• Data-driven predictive maintenance in the water supply industry
• Use of machine learning and neural networks to detect leaks and burst pipes
• Geographic information systems (GIS) and their application in water pipe inspection
• Sensor data processing and analysis for monitoring water pipe systems
• Simulations and modeling for risk assessment and decision support
• Case studies and practical applications of AI in water supply
• Sustainable and efficient control strategies for smart water networks

Submission guidelines:

Papers should be original and unpublished and must not have been submitted simultaneously for review at other conferences or workshops. Page limits are inclusive of figures and references. Papers must be submitted in PDF format and conform to the Informatics Festival 2025 formatting guidelines. For more information on our format requirements and guidelines for authors, see Author Guidelines A template is available in Overleaf and can be used for submission of papers.

The following submissions are possible:

• Full Paper: 12 pages
• Short Paper: 6 pages
• Work-In-Progress-Paper: 3 pages

Contributions can be written in German and English.
