·Keynote title: Analysis of Multimodal AI for Efficient Deepfake Detection
Abstract: Deepfake is a technology that uses AI to generate fake data, and it is being widely utilized in various fields, such as data augmentation and virtual fitting. However, there has been an increasing concern over the misuse of deepfake technology, leading to identity fraud, voice spoofing, and the spreading of fake news. Consequently, research is being conducted to develop deep learning-based techniques for detecting disinformation. Deep learning-based disinformation detection techniques focus on specific modalities, including identity fraud detection, voice spoofing detection, and fake news detection. However, deep learning methods that rely on training data have limitations in detecting disinformation related to individuals or modalities not included in the training process. The presentation presents emphasizes a multi-modal learning approach that incorporates visual, auditory, and linguistic features, aiming to overcome the limitations of being confined to specific modalities. Additionally, to detect deepfakes for individuals not included in the training process, a restricted setting is adopted where each individual has one set of real and fake data, and there is no overlap between individuals used in the train, validation, and test sets. Also, the effectiveness of the multi-modal learning method for deepfake detection are demonstrated through experiments, comparing it with uni-modal learning.
