The first ever conference dedicated to lighter-than-air systems in India was held in July 2022, which saw the participation ofresearchers, students, and delegates from more than 10 countries. Building-up on the success of DELTAs-2022, the muchawaited second iteration of this conference, i.e., DELTAs-2024 will be held during the last week of June, 2024 at IIT Bombay.The aim of DELTAs-2024 is to provide a common platform to the experts and learners in the field of LTA systems to cometogether and discuss the current and future developments. The multi-disciplinary problems related to the design of LTAsystems involve considerations of several engineering disciplines. DELTAs-2024 will provide an international forum forresearchers, practicing engineers, students, and scientists to share/discuss their ideas and accomplishments, relevant for thedevelopment of LTA systems and its enabling technologies. The event will host several eminent academicians, scientists andscholars from across the globe, who have spearheaded LTA technology growth on a whole. A Technology Showcase will alsobe conducted to enable industry professionals and software vendors to demonstrate the application and efficacy of theirproducts. The event will host a pre-conference workshop on Indoor Hot Air Balloons to enable the participants to get anexposure to the exciting field of buoyancy engineering. The first two days of the Conference will consist of invited talks, andpresentations of contributed papers and posters, and a panel discussion on issues relevant to the LTA industry. The last twodays will be dedicated to conduct an indoor airship competition, on similar lines as the hugely popular Regatta held inDELTAs-2022. Submission Guidelines

Researchers, Engineers, Scientists and Students are cordially invited to submit technical papers highlighting their contribution on topics relevant to the conference theme. Extended abstracts of a maximum of 3000 words (excluding references) need to be submitted via an online manuscript management system by 26th Dec 2023.

All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.

Publication

Selected papers from the conference will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published.

Springer Nature does not charge any money for the publication of Non-Open Access content. Abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers (less than 4 pages) are not considered for publication.
